Further to our conversation in class yesterday, action points to take forward from the rough cut to final cut include:-

- Continue to work on the edit so that the audience can follow the action (contextualise the bank with an establishing shot, and possibly a close-up that identifies it as a bank); identify your protagonist early on (but not using so many shots of the back of his head)
- Take care to edit your sequence so that the total running time is approximately 2 minutes in the final cut
- Add titles (credits and title with the name of your film). Remember, your final cut needs to look like an opening sequence-
Take care with continuity editing (try to achieve matches on action, avoid jump cuts, use reaction shots for your protagonist, observe the 180 degree rule etc.)

We have sensibly decided to back up our blog on word in case of computer problems or error from the members of the team. We would hate for our hard work and time to be wasted just because of a silly mistake like that.

We will be filming in the centre of town in Cambridge. The bank we will be using is Lloyd's Bank on St Andrews Street. we wont be filming inside but we will be filming one of are characters running out the door and filming the outside of the building.

Props and Costumes

Our costumes that we are going to dress are actors with will be everyday/casual clothes so they don't stand out from the general public, one of the props we will use will be a black medium sized suitcase giving the idea that there is money that they have stole from the bank in it, another prop we will be using is a £10 note witch will stick out of the suitcase giving more detail about what is to come in the film .

we have chosen these people to be in are film as they are readily available at the times we are filming also they are the correct age for are film characters, we have chosen five people to be in are film as we are trying to keep to the crime caper conventions as in crime capers usually have a group between four and ten.

Synopsis:
Our film opening is going to be about a group of criminals who have planned a way of robbing a bank, but it does not go according to plan the group have just got out of prison for a job they got caught doing 5 years after this they decide to do one more job. the consists of five people in the group who all have different skills at the start of the film the main character is convincing everyone to do one last job.

Analysis:
The opening of The Usual Suspects starts with a man getting shot this involves guns which is a typical prop in a crime caper also the men are in smart clothes

Analysis 2:
Fargo starts with the titles in fading out of the fog, with a bunch of men talking about money between criminals typical of a crime caper film

We have chosen the genre of a crime caper for our opening sequence. We researched the genre so we could meet the conventions of it and make the sequence more effective.
